Living in the internet century

Does internet condamn us to versatility and superficiality because it forces us to react instantaneously, sometimes too fast (oooops, I hadn't read that well), too strong (that's not what i meant), too careless (who care about the right spelling nowadays? SMS and other instant messages have pushed back any cultural background to the status of unnecessary knowledge, worse, you'd be a nerd not using the iSpelling 2 b in 2nite)
We're becoming more flexible, always on, that's for sure, but is then a lack of throughout thinking and concentration the price to pay? How many times have you started something in the morning and noticed at the end of the day that it was still to be done because in the meantime you've been interrupted, distracted or too lazy to finish up what you've started?
Does internet leave our brains on the surface only?
We're surfing on hyperlinks of thoughts but never finish to read the entire page, we open brackets and brackets and brackets but forget about the first one and, more importantly, about the main text, we've become pseudo Proust writers but lost track of the first time we started a sub reference.
It goes fast, that's for sure, but does it go well?
And how does this impact our relationships? Are we surfing on relationships as well? Going from one hyperlink to the other without finishing the page? Staying on the edge without going deep inside ? Being afraid of staying focused?
